2008 World Agility Championships
AKC/USA World Agility Championship Team
Helsinki, Finland
Day Two - September 23, 2008
Today was another wonderful day in sunny Helsinki, Finland for the AKC World Team and their supporters. The AKC World team took to the countryside of Helsinki for their 2nd 3 hour team practice at a local agility facility. The dogs and handlers worked very well after another good nights rest. The dogs have adjusted very easily to the competition surface and the handlers have selected which pair of shoes they want to wear for the weekend.
The team headed off to take their team pictures once they got back from the practice. The park across the street provided an ideal setting.
Today a group of supporters took a cruise over to Tallin, Estonia for the day. They learned a lot about the capitol of Estonia, which is a UNESCO site. Tomorrow many supporters and Team Members will head off on a tour to a couple of places in the Helsinki area. The team’s rest day is tomorrow for both dogs and handlers. Thursday morning will bring the Vet Check for the team at the show site and their 18 minutes of practice in the competition arena.
Make sure you check back for more pictures and information on the team. Starting Friday the courses that are run and the results will be posted for each class.
Thanks to everyone for their support!
