AKC/USA World Team Practice

The AKC/USA World Team practice held in Columbus, Ohio proved to be a very successful weekend for both the team members and the coaches. Coach, Nancy Gyes and Ass't Coach, Kathie Leggett, set many courses and sequences to be practiced by the team members to prepare for Basel, Switzerland and the World Agility Championships.

Thirteen team members, 4 small, 4 medium and 5 large worked for 2 full days on the difficult sequences expected to be presented by the judges.

Full coverage of the World Agility Championship will be available on the AKC website daily when the team along with many USA supporters travel to Switzerland. A total of 86 people will be cheering the teams on. The dates to watch for the coverage is October 2 thru the 9th. The running order has been received and the USA team competition will have the small running in 7th position as well as the large in the same position and medium 10th position. All teams are happy with the drawn run order. A total of 34 countries are represented with 32 in the team competition and 2 countries with individual entries only.
