2007 Top Dogs in Agility

AKC will recognize the 2007 Top Dog in each breed for outstanding AKC agility performance at a banquet held during the American Kennel Club® Agility Invitational. The selection process is based on the dog’s agility record from the 2007 calendar year (January 1 - December 31, 2007) by calculating the (double Q’s x 10) + MACH points earned. These dogs may or may not be the same as the dogs invited to the AKC Agility Invitational as the qualifying dates for the Invitational are July 1, 2007 - June 30, 2008.

This year, AKC will also recognize dogs competing in the Preferred classes. If there are no breeds currently competing in the Regular classes, AKC will rank dogs from the Preferred classes using a formula of (double Q’s x 10).

Recipients of the 2007 Top Dog Award will be presented with an award of merit certificate for this achievement at a banquet held during the American Kennel Club® Agility Invitational. Additionally, AKC will present an award to the 2007 Top MACH Dog, NAC MACH19 Pinpaps Jonquil Of Skipnlena MXF, recognizing him as the #1 ranked dog for all AKC-recognized breeds competing in agility in the 2007 calendar year.

The banquet will be held on Saturday, December 13th, 2008 located at the Westin Long Beach, 333 East Ocean Boulevard, Long Beach, CA 90802. Congratulations letters to the winners of these Top Dog awards were mailed on September 15, 2008. To view a complete list of the 2007 Top Dogs in agility click here.
