Editor's Note
November 2004

Election coverage over the past few weeks has many people talking about who will be the best leaders for our country. Closer to home, the purebred dog fancy already has many strong leaders who are paving the way for positive canine legislation. This month's feature on federation-sponsored legislative workshops highlights some of those leaders, as does our article on the latest Community Achievement Award winners. I know we have many more unsung heroes in the legislative arena, but we can't honor your efforts if we don't hear from you! Dog clubs, federations, and Legislative Liaisons can all benefit from sharing program ideas, lobbying strategies, and other suggestions for success. So that others can make the most of your hard work, we encourage you to pass along your "Best of 2004" items to us for use in an upcoming Taking Command article. In this season of sharing, let us feast on positive ideas fanciers can use in the coming year. Send us your success stories today!

Regards,
