Raul F Hernandez RubioDog shows, what's not to love? Especially if your love is blended with talent. My name is Raul F Hernandez Rubio, and I am glad to say I am blessed with talent for the sport I love. I have been the number one junior handler in Puerto Rico in both AKC and FCI standings, second best junior in the World 2007 (WDS '07), I am the 2008 Dachshund Club Of America National Specialty Best Junior, I have shown many breeds from all groups, taken countless group placements and two best in shows, one with my own Vizsla and the other with a Thailand Ridgeback Dog but still l feel l want to contribute so much more to the dog show world. I am extremely passionate with this sport and I see myself being very involved in the dog show fancy in the future. My dream and goal in life since I was a child is to be a renowned veterinarian and I would like to specialize in artificial insemination and study reproduction to help better the health and structures of today's show dogs. Another goal in my life is to be a respected owner/breeder/handler and eventually a judge because for me being all these things are the absolute best ways to contribute as much as I possibly can to purebred dogs and also a great way to maintain and actually better my involvement in the fancy.

When I turn on the television and see these successful people with equally successful canines wining at Westminster, Eukanuba, World Dog Show, Crufts, etc. I get shivers just thinking that with perseverance, dedication, and involvement and love for the sport I could be among those great people, or as I used to say "I could be the guy on TV winning with the amazing show dog". The reason l love dog shows so much is because of the adrenaline rush you get when you are in that ring with a great chance of getting a huge win, the joy you get when you take that first prize, the agony of defeat that hurts but makes you stronger and better, and the bonding you get with these majestic creatures we call dogs.

As you can probably see, my passion and involvement for purebred dogs is not going to stop anytime soon. I have big plans for the dog show world, and have time to spare to fulfill it I have no plans to do so for mere recognition but to put my grain of sand in this huge family of dog shows and to day by day make these animal's lives much easier, because they put their grain of sand on our lives every single day of their happy lives and better our lives just by making us smile.
