AKC Seeks Interns for Summer 2006
The AKC is accepting applications for its summer intern program.
Several paid student-interns will work at the AKC’s New
York and Raleigh offices on project-focused assignments for eight
weeks in June and July 2006. Internships may lead to AKC employment.
To be eligible you must be a high-school graduate, at least 18
years of age, who is accepted or enrolled at an accredited two-
or four-year college and is involved in some aspect of the dog
fancy.
Mail your completed application package to AKC Intern Program
(TIP), P.O. Box 37905, Raleigh, NC 27627-7905.
The package should include a summer-intern application form (found
at www.akc.org click on About AKC, Employment, Summer Intern Program);
a resume; a copy of your academic transcript; and a cover letter
describing your experience with purebred dogs and your thoughts
on future employment with the AKC. Applications will be accepted
through January 30, 2006.
