| Junior Achievement Challenge The 8th annual JAC weekend will be held in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on August 6th and 7th, 2005. This event is co-sponsored by Jack Onofrio Dog Shows, L.L.C. and the Oklahoma City Kennel Club. Two days of seminars and hands-on training will be offered. All by Judges, Professional Handlers, Breeders, and personnel from AKC. Two days of Junior competition. And then the final Judging for the top Juniors of the weekend with three Judges in the ring. The Juniors will be competing for some Special Prizes, including:
The kids have a lot of fun as well, along with the drawing for some super door prizes. We also furnish lunch for the Juniors. New this year will be a Benefit Party on Saturday night with food, music, and fun. Come join the fun. We have Juniors from several states competing and they are learning each year. Our 2003 Winner was Ms. Katy Shepherd, who went on to win Best Junior at Westminster in 2004. Our 2004 Runner-Up was Ms. Lauren McIlwraith, who went on to win Best Junior at the 2005 AKC/Eukanuba National Championship Show. Many others have gone on to be multiple Best Junior at other shows.
