Justine adopted Abbey from a shelter in 2007 when the pup was about 12 weeks old.
“Abby loves to work, but also has a goofy side, which you can see in her photo,” Justine said.
Abbey started obedience training classes as a pup and did so well that Justine progressed with her into competition. Abbey holds several titles, including the AKC Canine Good Citizen-Advanced title and the AKC Rally Advanced Excellent (RAE) title – the highest honor in AKC Rally.
“Abby tore her biceps tendon in 2013, which sidelined us from the obedience and rally rings for a few months, but thankfully she recovered quickly and we were able to finish our RAE,” Justine said. “Abbey has taught me a lot about dogs and life in general and I cannot imagine my life without her by my side.”
Abby achieved her RAE on Oct. 31, 2014, at the Companion Dog Training Club of Flint trial.
