Ready to Hit the Road

Vera has on her riding “doggles,” cap and scarf, ready to hit the road for the Thanksgiving holiday – one of the busiest travel weeks of the year.

Her owner, Norman Price of Pasco, WA, says the Boxer-Lab mix loves to go on car rides because Vera, a member of the AKC Canine Partners community, is often traveling to fun AKC events.

She competes in AKC Agility and AKC Coursing Ability Tests (CATs) and has earned the highest CAT honor of Coursing Ability Excellent (CAX) twice, meaning she has passed the test successfully 50 times! Her formal name is Vera the Dragon Slayer NAP OJP NFP CAX2.

Vera was abandoned along a roadside as a puppy, but was rescued and later adopted by Norman who says they are best friends.
