Foster Dog Conquers Fears Thru Agility

PACH Beautiful Kim Bianca AX AXJ MXPB MJPB PAX owned by Narae Kim & Ron Ellis of Concord, CA

Bianca is an 11 year old Border Collie-mix who was with a Border Collie rescue group before Narae and Ron took her on as a foster dog.

“I couldn't find a home for her because she was too hyper and fearful for any average home,” Narae said. “I kept her and did agility to boost her confidence. Although she is not a fast agility dog, she is very eager to please, and she gained a lot of confidence through doing agility.”

Bianca started competing in AKC Agility three years ago and achieved her AKC Preferred Agility Championship in early 2014 at the Border Terrier Club of Redwood show in Santa Rosa, CA. The Preferred program allows dogs to jump one height lower than their championship division; it is a great choice for older dogs.

“My husband and I are so proud of our little girl to pull herself through this long journey. Thank you AKC for opening the door to the mixed breeds and many rescue dogs with unknown backgrounds!”
