A Memorial to a Great Agility Dog

Bubbles NA MXP3 MXPB MJP7 MJPG sadly passed away in January at the amazing age of 17 years. She was just two months shy of her 18th birthday, says owner Joan Blaha of Goleta, CA.

Bubbles came into Joan’s life in 2000 after her original owner could no longer care for her so Joan took her into her home.

“We learned agility together and worked as a team at many trials. She went on to earn many AKC Agility titles,” she said.

The rescue Australian Shepherd came into the AKC through the ILP program, now known as the Purebred Alternative Listing (PAL) program. This program is for purebred dogs who do not have AKC “papers,” due to being a rescue; the papers being lost; or other reasons.

“Bubbles also pulled me through a massive heart attack in 2004, which luckily I survived. She carried me through so many hardships, and this is my memorial to her. She will always and forever remain in my heart.”
