The Thai Ridgeback was originated in Thailand, and is considered a primitive breed in it's native country.

The breed has only four recognizable colors (Red, Blue, Black and Yellow).

Thai Ridgebacks have spotted tongues. Some even come with solid black/blue tongues.
From the July 2007 Board Meeting - The Thai Ridgeback was approved to compete in AKC Lure Coursing Events for suffix titles effective January 1, 2008.
