The American Kennel Club's DNA Profile Program has always offered DNA Profiles, displaying your dog's actual genotype. The Profiles include an explanatory worksheet that shows how the DNA genotypes displayed can be used to verify the parentage of offspring using the genotypes of the sire and dam.
Now, AKC DNA Operations staff will evaluate that parentage for you! This service is offered for $40. The AKC will evaluate the parentage and provide you with a Parentage Evaluation Table and written report for the litter. The evaluation must, of course, be based upon genotypes on file with the American Kennel Club, from either the Parent Breed Club Program or DNA Profile Program.
To request this service, simply complete the Parentage Evaluation Request Form including all required signatures and return the form with payment to AKC DNA Operations.
AKC DNA Parentage Profile
AKC's DNA Operations is pleased to offer a new DNA Parentage Profile. The Profile displays the DNA genotypes on file for your AKC-Registered purebred dog and his/her sire and dam, and indicates that his/her parentage has been verified. The Profile offers another link to your dog's pedigree information, and adds more value to his/her AKC Registration.
The handsome, colorful profile is offered for $20.00. To request a Profile, simply complete the Parentage Profile Order Form including all required signatures, and return the form with payment to AKC DNA Operations.
