Tragic Accident Takes the Lives of Exhibitors and Dogs Bound for World Dog Show

The dog show world mourns the loss of five people and 11 dogs who were killed in Belarus on the morning of June 8 when the van in which they were traveling to Milan, Italy, for the FCI World Dog Show had a head-on collision with a tractor-trailer. 

Reported on board the van were Pavel Voronov, Darya Boldyreva, Tatyana Skoropupova, Maria Baturina, and Julia Khoklova. None survived the accident. The driver of the tractor-trailer was also killed. 

Dino Muto, the president of the Italian Kennel Club (Ente Nazionale della Cinofilia Italiana) invited all delegates present at the June 8 FCI general assembly meeting to observe a moment of silence for the victims.
