Staten Island Companion Dog Training Club Rally Trials Raise Money for Protective K9 Vests

By Kelly Hagstrand, Trial Secretary, SICDTC

For the second year in a row, the Staten Island Companion Dog Training Club (SICDTC) held back-to-back AKC Rally trials to benefit Vested Interest in K-9s, a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide bullet and stab protective vests and other assistance to dogs of Law Enforcement and related agencies throughout the country. The club will be donating 100% of the entry fees as well as the proceeds from raffles, donations and T-Shirt sales.  All trial expenses are being covered by the club. We purchased five vests last year, and it looks like we'll be able to purchase seven vests this year!
