Scotland's national tourism organization is currently looking for a dog ambassador to "represent the spirit of Scotland" around the world.
VisitScotland posted an advertisement for the year-long "ambassadog" job on the Denholm Associate's website on Monday, which states that the organization is looking for an "outgoing, Scotland-loving, and well-trained dog" that has a "'nose' for the best food and drink, events, and walks across the country." It is open to all dogs from all regions of Scotland.
Although the description says it isn't a paid position, the selected "ambassadog" and his/her owner will receive an "exclusive, inspirational, and dog-friendly holiday."
To apply, the advertisement asks that owners write 500 words on why their dog would make a great "ambassadog" and to include a photograph of them and their dog enjoying Scotland.
