The stakes have never been cuter. Today, more than 1,200 puppies and junior dogs competed to earn the title of AKC Royal Canin National All-Breed Puppy/Juniorof the Year. As you can imagine, it was adorable, fun, and great experience for puppies and handlers alike. Ultimately, one puppy came out on top.

GCH CH Unity’s Maid An Entrance CGC, a Weimaraner known as “Gali,” was crowned “Puppy/Junioron the Year” by a panel of judges consisting of Mrs. Paula Hartinger, Mr. Roger R. Hartinger and Dr. Steve Keating.

Gali is owned by Michelle Hunter & Gregory McLogan & Amy L Tourond and bred by Gregory McLogan & Vicki Ruiz & Amy L Tourond.

Group Winners

After winning Best of Breed competitions, the following top dogs went on to win in their respective groups and compete for Puppy/Junior of the Year:

Sporting: GCH CH Unity’s Maid An Entrance CGC, a Weimaraner known as “Gali,” owned by Michelle Hunter & Gregory McLogan & Amy L Tourond.

Hound: CH Sporting Fields Love and Shenanigans, a Whippet known as “Stevie,” owned by Tom & Mary Severino & Debby Butt.

Working: New History at Russian Bears, a Black Russian Terrier known as “Hayden,” owned by Rachel J Eken.

Terrier: Louline Repercussion At Random, a Wire Fox Terrier known as “Boy Boy,” owned by Geir Flyckt-Pedersen.

Toy: Tamarin Titus, an Affenpinscher known as “Keko,” owned by Doyle J Girouard & Carol Girouard.

Non-Sporting: Hightide Tarquin Venus, a Standard Poodle known as “Venus,” owned by Missy Ann Galloway, & R Corbin & C Manelopoulos.

Herding: Valle De Beraka Grand Guior, a Bearded Collie known as “Nevyn,” owned by Carol & Jim Desmond & Maria Jose Carrillo.
