Pet IQ “Happy Pawlidays” Survey Gives Insight Into Our Pups During The Holiday Season

Would your dog be on Santa's naughty or nice list? PetIQ asked dog owners the same question and other holiday inquiries in their annual "Happy Pawliday" survey.

The company surveyed more than 900 pet owners to learn more about people and their dogs during this festive time of year.

They found that 76% of survey participants believe their dog would make it on the nice list, while 24% think their dog is on the naughty list.

Some other fun insights:

Favorite Holiday Activity

35% of respondents said their dog's favorite holiday activity is spending time with loved ones. 25% said curling up by the fireplace, 23% said dashing through the snow, and 17% said chowing down on turkey and pie.

Holiday Character

Pet IQ asked what holiday character participants' dog resembles during this time of year. 65% of owners said Buddy the elf from Elf, 25% of people said Frosty the Snowman, and 10% said Dr. Seuss' The Grinch.

Under the Mistletoe

Who are you smooching this year under the mistletoe? Most of these 900 people are kissing their dogs. 61% of people would rather smooch their dog, than their significant other (39%). Be careful kissing your dog, though! It might not be the safest show of affection.
