Heidi Klum Unveils Sculpture

"Dog with Butterflies" DOGNY Sculpture Unveiled by Artist/Supermodel Heidi Klum

Supermodel Heidi Klum showed off her talents as Artist Heidi Klum on Friday, Sept. 27, presenting her own DOGNY sculpture at the FAO Schwarz Plaza with help from her own dog, a Jack Russell Terrier named Shila.

The colorfully decorated canine sculpture, "Dog with Butterflies" was designed by Heidi, who painted the sculpture with over 130 colorful butterflies, many adorned with Swarovski crystals. The sculpture, sponsored by the American Kennel Club employees, is located near the front door of the famed FAO Schwartz toy store at Fifth Avenue and 58th Street, where it is sure to draw a lot of attention during the Holiday shopping season.

It is one of more than 100 DOGNY sculptures in various locations throughout the city of New York to be on display through the end of November. The statues will then be auctioned at Sotheby's with celebrity auctioneer Liz Smith, and also online at www.sothebys.com.

To date, the DOGNY project has raised more than $2 million, with all net proceeds to go to volunteer and professional Search and Rescue organizations throughout the United States through The American Kennel Club (AKC) Companion Animal Recovery Corporation Canine Support and Relief Fund, an established 501 (C)(3) charity.
