The American Kennel Club is pleased to announce that DOGNY - America's Tribute to Search & Rescue Dogs is part of an upcoming exhibition at the Imperial War Museum in London, England.
This new exhibition titled "The Animals' War" will explore the extraordinary role of animals in conflict from the First World War to the present day. The Animals' War will use photographs, film, sculptures, memorabilia and interactive features to illustrate the intriguing and often surprising stories of animals in war. Two AKC DOGNY sculptures – "Our Melting Pot" and "Shower of Affection" – are currently on loan to the museum from NEADS (Dogs for Deaf and Disabled Americans) and the Suffolk County SPCA, respectively.
The exhibition will run from July 14, 2006 – April 22, 2007.
