The Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show presented by Purina® Pro Plan® is steeped in tradition: its 140 years of intense competition, its world-renowned home at Madison Square Garden, and its purple and gold rosette ribbons.
But some of the most interesting recent traditions occur after the ribbon and trophy have been awarded. The steak lunch at Sardi's and the media tour that follows are when many finally get introduced to the newly crowned winner.
To get an idea of what it's like to be a Westminster Best In Show winner days after the competition has ended, here are a few memorable stops from the past few years' media tours:
Starting with the post-win meal, here's 2011 Best In Show winner Sky taking a break from her regular diet of Purina® Pro Plan® Shredded Chicken & Rice to eat a steak at Sardi's.
While doing the rounds in New York, many winners visit Wall Street. In this image, 2010 winner and Purina® Pro Plan® Performance-fed Sadie rings the opening bell of the New York Stock Exchange on Feb. 18. 2010.
Purina® Pro Plan® Performance-fed Malachy, 2012's big winner, wasn't sure if he has what it takes to become a stock broker. He'll probably leave the finance business to the professionals.
Big dog, big city. 2011 winner and Purina® Pro Plan® Sensitive Skin & Stomach-fed Hickory visits the observation deck of the Empire State Building.
2015 winner and Purina® Pro Plan® 30/20 SPORT Chicken & Rice-fed Miss P took some time out of her busy schedule to be a part of a Broadway performance.
In 2009, Purina® Pro Plan® All Life Stages-fed Stump, the oldest Best In Show winner ever, showed off his prizes to the whole country on "TODAY" with Matt Lauer and Meredith Vieira.

Sky had a blast hanging with Kathie Lee and Hoda on "TODAY" after her 2011 Best In Show victory.
Best In Show winners becomes canine celebrities, and human celebrities are often dying to meet them. Here is Purina® Pro Plan® Performance-fed Sadie with Donald Trump in 2010.
Miss P and her handler Will Alexander got to take a ride with Tyson the horse and his driver Steve Malone last year.
