The Chinese Shar-Pei Club of America National Specialty runs through today, and the club is continuing its tradition of performing good works wherever the National is hosted.
Last year, the club donated 21 pet oxygen masks to first responders in Lawrence, Kansas. The masks later saved more than 20 dogs in a boarding kennel fire in November 2015 and also helped officials resuscitate animals from a Pet World fire in May 2015.
This year, the club is donating additional canine resuscitator masks and portable crates to the City of Lawrence (Kansas)/Douglas County Fire Medical department.
Chief Mark Bradford says, "We are extremely grateful for this donation and thank the members of the Chinese Shar-Pei Club of America for their efforts to equip first responders with this emergency equipment."
