AKC Pet Disaster Relief Trailer Deployed To Cedar Fire In Arizona

An AKC Pet Disaster Relief trailer has been deployed to Arizona to help with the Cedar Creek Fire. The truck was deployed with the Arizona Humane Society (AHS), the state's designated responder for animals in distress during natural disasters.

The teams will shelter and care for any evacuated pets from the fire.

"We are closely monitoring the fires in Arizona, and send our thoughts and prayers that the affected emergency responders, residents, and their pets remain safe," AKC Reunite posted on Facebook.

The AKC Disaster Relief Trailer and the AHS assessment team plan to evaluate the situation and deploy additional staff, including a medical team, if necessary.

The fire started on Wednesday and the cause is unknown, reports News 12.

We send our thoughts and safe wishes to the people of Arizona as well as the staff deployed to assist.
