Summer is the perfect time to get outside, enjoy the nice weather, and gather with friends to eat and chat. From May through September, many families have calendars packed with barbecues, picnics, and outdoor parties. And what’s a party, if your dog isn’t invited?

If you are bringing your dog along to these events, you need to be extra cautious of where he is and what he’s doing . . . for example what he may be finding to eat.

If you’re looking to share some of your warm-weather favorites with your dog, remember, always in moderation! And not all summer foods are OK to share. Take this quiz and find out which are summer shareable and which are a no-go.

Test Yourself on Summer Foods For Dogs

Remember, if you ever have a question about what you can or can’t give your dog, it’s always a good idea to check with your veterinarian.
