Club Spotlight: Quincy Kennel Club

Quincy Kennel Club kicked off AKC Responsible Dog Ownership Days a little early by hosting the club's RDOD event this past Sunday, August 25th.

Dogs and kids enjoyed Quincy Kennel Club's Responsible Dog Ownership Day.

The club hosted Canine Good Citizen testing, agility demonstrations, a presentation from Monroe City Search and Rescue and more for interested dog owners in the area.

Quincy Kennel Club President Julie Grawe was quoted in an article in the Quincy Herald-Whig saying that the event brings public awareness to the importance of properly caring for one's dog -- "It's about teaching people how to train their dogs and how to care for them so that they don't end up tied up in the backyard."

Read more about the event and watch a video of the agility demonstration on the the Quincy Herald-Whig website.
