• AKC titles such as show championships, field championships, obedience, and hunting test titles, for all ancestors
• Invaluable data on your dog's bloodlines - essential for breeding programs
• Countries (if a dog was from outside the U.S.) and OFA and CERF certifications

Online Pedigrees: You can order an online 4- or 5-generation pedigree with coat colors at our website (www.akc.org). Go to the Online Store and register as a new customer. You can then go to the Dog Reports section and click on Pedigree. You can order four-generation pedigrees for $10.00 each and five-generation pedigrees for $12.00 each. After you providing your credit card information, you can go to your Shopping Cart and view the online pedigree. If you order the $32.00 option for the certified four-generation pedigree, it will be sent to you via first class mail. You will also receive a viewable copy in your shopping cart.

Answer: An AKC Pedigree is a printed or electronic document that displays the lineage of an AKC dog and important information about the ancestors in a dog's family tree.

An individual dog must first be registered with the AKC in order for the AKC to produce a pedigree. You may, however, get an individual pedigree on the sire or dam of the unregistered dog if the sire and dam are AKC registered.

AKC has two types of kits. The regular kit is available at no charge, and the $40 processing fee (per dog) is due when the sample is returned to the AKC. We also offer a Prepaid Test Kit for only $35 (per dog). You can save $5 per dog by paying in advance.

The AKC has a variety of VHS videos ranging from Breed Standards to Dog Care and Training.  There are educational kits available for teaching institutions.
