This Little Dog Knows How to Pull Her Weight

June is a cute little shaggy dog, but she also is strong for her size. June participates in weight pull, a canine sport in which dogs wear a special harness and pull a cart loaded with weight. Althought it is most popular with large carting breeds, sledding breeds, and bully breeds, all breeds,including mixed-breeds like June, can participate in weight pull. Several AKC national and regional breed clubs host weight pulls, and some events are open to all breeds and mixes. June is a member of the AKC Canine Partners program for all dogs with the formal name of Woodacre’s Soidog Mali CAX. She also excels in AKC Coursing Ability. Her owner, Jackie Phillips of San Leandro, CA, adopted June from a Thailand rescue group.
