  • The Norrbottenspets has been assigned the Hound Group designation.
  • The Norrbottenspets has been recorded in the Foundation Stock Service since November 2007.
  • The Norrbottenspets has been used for hunting the black grouse and also is used on small fur-bearing animals.
  • Officially a Swedish breed, although some would say it has Finnish roots.
  • The Norrbottenspets has a shorter coat then most of the Northern Breeds and no doggy odor.
  • They are active but not hyper and need some exercise daily. In the house they are generally quiet.
  • Being an adaptable dog they can be trained for any sport or competition.
  • They are very healthy and live well into their teen years.
  • They are a medium size dog weighing between 20-30 lbs.
