- From the October 2007 Board Meeting - The Leonberger Club of America will serve as the AKC Parent Club to represent the Leonberger and will be eligible to compete in the Miscellaneous Class, effective July 1, 2008.
- From the August 2005 Board Meeting - The Leonberger has been approved to compete in AKC Companion Events effective January 1, 2006.
