Icelandic Sheepdog News
- From the October 2009 Board Meeting – The Icelandic Sheepdog Association of America is the official parent club for the Icelandic Sheepdog and to accept the Icelandic Sheepdog into the AKC Stud Book on June 1, 2010. The breed will be eligible to compete in the Herding Group beginning June 30, 2010.
- From the October 2007 Board Meeting - The Icelandic Sheepdog Association of America will serve as the AKC Parent Club to represent the Icelandic Sheepdog and will be eligible to compete in the Miscellaneous Class, effective July 1, 2008.
- From the May 2006 Board Meeting - The Icelandic Sheepdog was approved to participate in AKC Herding Trial classes as Exhibition Only effective September 1, 2006.
- From the October 2005 Board Meeting - The Icelandic Sheepdog has been approved to compete in AKC Companion Events effective July 1, 2006.
