  • The Argentine Dogo has been assigned the Working Group designation.
  • The Argentine Dogo is also known as the Dogo Argentino and the Argentinian Mastiff.
  • The Argentine Dogo was developed in Argentina by Dr. Antonio Nores Martinez in the 1920's.
  • The Argentine Dogo has been recorded in the Foundation Stock Service since 1996.
  • The Argentine Dogo is one breed developed from ten. One of those breeds includes the now extinct Fighting Dog of Cordoba.
  • In Argentina, the Argentine Dogo is bred to hunt big game, primarily boar and mountain lion.
  • In 1964, the Argentine Dogo achieved recognition with the Argentine Kennel Club.
