Affiliated Companies

Two affiliated companies are located in Raleigh, NC along with the AKC Operations Center. All are housed at the same location and will be relocating to a new location in Raleigh in mid-2008.

• AKC Companion Animal Recovery
  AKC/CAR was founded in 1995 to help reunite lost pets with their owners. In March 2007, AKC/CAR introduced the AKC CAR ID System™ microchip. AKC/CAR provides 24-hour recovery services for pets with a microchip, collar tag, or tattoo. The service, located in the Raleigh office, has over 3.5 million pets enrolled.
  
  Typical openings include data entry, customer service, and a small number of professional positions. Customer service experience and computer skills are important to all positions.
  
  
• AKC Canine Health Foundation
  The goal of the AKC Canine Health Foundation is to develop the awareness and funds necessary to support non-invasive, innovative genetic research that helps dogs and their owners live longer and stronger. Since 1995, CHF has awarded over $18 million in canine health research grants in all corners of the globe.
