North Carolina Operations Center
AKC’s Chief Operating Officer heads the Raleigh office. The Operations Center is also home to:
- Registration

- Compliance
- Event Operations
- Judging Operations
- Companion Events
- Performance Events
- Information Services
- Purchasing
- Human Resources
|
Annually the Operations Center registers 900,000 dogs, answers nearly 800,000 customer service calls, and receives over 2.5 million pieces of mail. The Operations Center has a wide variety of positions. Some jobs require a specialized college degree and/or background in the sport of purebred dogs. Typical openings include data entry, customer service, computer professionals, and administrative positions. In addition to programmers and developers, a number of other professional positions are located in the Raleigh office. Experience and computer skills are important to nearly all positions. AKC Companion Animal Recovery and the AKC Canine Health Foundation are also located in the Raleigh office. |
| Potential employees should be comfortable around dogs because North Carolina staff may “bring their dogs to work” if owners meet the required responsibility criteria. For more information on Raleigh, visit Triangle Citysearch. The Raleigh office has moved to a northwest Raleigh location. See details on the Locations page.
