The AKC Information and Education Booth in 2005 made 44 presentations at dog shows and other venues over a wide geographical area. Booth staff greeted more than 130,000 visitors from the fancy and general public seeking AKC information and materials. The Booth also supports local educational efforts of teachers, clubs, and veterinarians.

During the disastrous hurricane season of 2005, the AKC Booth was a collection center for donations of supplies and money. AKC staff assisted in moving supplies collected at dog shows to a staging area, for transport to the Gulf region. AKC CAR Disaster Relief banners were displayed at shelters and coordination points in Louisiana and Mississippi.

The Booth presents a full menu of AKC services, products, and educational materials. Among successful ongoing promotions are ILP Live, Canine Good Citizen events, AKC credit card offers, Veterinary Outreach programs, AKC publications, and Junior Showmanship.

Booth staff arranged dog show tours and educational programs for the general public, specifically relating to the sport of dogs, in partnership with local clubs.

The AKC Banner program coordinates the display of AKC-logo signage at dog events, raising AKC visibility with spectators and the media.
