[continued 3 of 3]
As we set our sights toward the future, we are faced with many unknowns. Yet there can be little doubt of the
strength of the human-canine bond and its enduring, positive effects on our daily lives. The sustained
popularity of AKC programs is a testament to that bond, and confirms that AKC is securely positioned to serve
our sport. With each passing year, AKC strives harder to support our core fancy and to open our world to the
ever-widening audience of the dog-loving public. In so doing, we salute the AKC clubs and their dedicated
members, who, as volunteers, are the lifeblood of our sport.
The American Kennel Club enjoys a unique privilege as the steward of the sport of purebred dogs. We enter our
121st year with gratitude and enthusiasm. I am confident that our sport and the dogs we love will be graced with
even greater prosperity, appreciation, and respect over the next 120 years—and many more years to come.
Sincerely,
